December

USTBC member only dinner with Deputy Prime Minister Rashid Meredov. 

November 30

USTBC Board will host a roundtable of US Government officials and US Ambassador Patterson for an annual discussion of the US Turkmenistan Roadmap that was endorsed by Turkmenistan President Berdimuhamedov in February of 2011. 

November 29

USTBC Board will host US Ambassador to Turkmenistan Robert Patterson for a roundtable lunch discussion.

November 15

USTBC reception honoring Turkmenistan’s 20 years of Independence.

September

USTBC will host the Turkmenistan delegation during the UN General Assembly in New York City.

USTBC will host Deputy Prime Minister Meredov during his visit to Washington DC.

2009 Activities

July:

Hosted a dinner in Washington DC for Vice Premier Rashid Meredov.

September:

Organized a policy lunch featuring Ret. US Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Richard Miles. 

September:

Hosted a private dinner in New York City for President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for USTBC Members only.

October:

At the personal invitation of President Berdimuhamedov USTBC Executive Director Stewart and 4 Member companies traveled to Ashgabat to meet individually with the President.  During this visit, we also organized an American – Turkmen Business Forum.  More than 20 Turkmen Ministers attended the Forum, including Vice Premier Meredov and over 120 people were present for the event. 

December:

USTBC hosted a reception on Capitol Hill celebrating Turkmenistan Independence and Neutrality Days.  The event was widely attended by Members of Congress (including the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee Chairman for Asia), senior officials from State, Energy, USTR, Commerce and the White House.  We also hosted many corporate executives and Ambassadors from neighboring countries.
